Leadership & Service in Children’s Education (CIEE)
July 2025 | Legon, Ghana
Served as an assistant teacher at Future Leaders School in Ghana, supporting classroom instruction and helping create final report cards by evaluating student progress. I worked closely with students and educators to promote a positive and supportive learning environment. Alongside teaching, I studied the Twi language and participated in Ghanaian culture classes to better understand local traditions and values. This experience strengthened my cross-cultural communication skills and commitment to global service.
YBLA Belize Mission Trip
June 2025 | Belize
Served the community of Belize through hands-on service initiatives focused on education and family support. Volunteered at St. Luke Methodist Primary School, assisting with a shoe distribution to ensure students had proper footwear for school. Participated in building a home for a single mother, providing safe and stable housing.
Teens for Courage Luncheon
April 2025
Volunteered with and spoke to key officials within the education system to advocate for student well-being and access to resources. Played an active role in fundraising efforts to support domestic abuse education clubs in schools. These clubs focused on awareness, prevention, and empowerment for students.
YBLA Toy Drive
December 2024
Served University Meadows, a Title I elementary school, by leading a holiday toy drive that collected over 1,000 toys for approximately 700 students. Helped organize and distribute gifts to ensure every child felt supported during the holiday season. Volunteered over five hours reading books to elementary students to promote literacy and engagement.
Beach Side Service Adventure (GLA)
June 2024 | Costa Rica
Served at the Guanacaste Water Center in Costa Rica for over 20 hours, supporting environmental and community initiatives. Assisted in restoring and cleaning the children’s playground and garden at a local primary school. Worked collaboratively to create a safer and more welcoming space for students.
